I use this item to patch a Starlink G3 cable to a 25' Cat 7 Shielded patch cable on the back of my RV in the engine compartment. A 25' patch runs from the inside of the RV to the Engine and the the Starlink cable runs the dish. This waterproof connector does not interfere or damage the Starlink cable silicone water seal. It was a super easy install.
Seems like it will work well, time will tell if it leaks. A nice addition would be to include a nut the same threading as the big cap so it can be mointed in a panel and the "inside" portion would be short.
I needed to replace Cat6 cables and this product facilitated the work so that it could be done outside the house and be weather proof. Very easy to use!
I had installed some cameras around the house and the ethernet connections that came with the cameras lasted about a year before they stopped working. The connectors did not provide adequate protection which caused them corrode. These are much better made, provide a better seal and protection from the environment.
I had a cut in an outdoor Cat6 cable and used this for the repair. The hard part is putting the connectors on the cut ends. This device couldn't be easier to use. I like that the connector passes through the nut so I can put on the connectors first and then put them in this. The gaskets are robust and the compression fittings ensure a good seal.
