RJ45 Cat8 Connector VCELINK

This is a nice heavyweight module, that doesn't need a great deal in terms of tools to assemble, I found it a lot quicker to work with than the normal collared clamp variety. The conductive metallised plastic spring collar was neatly designed to grip progressively stronger as you tightened the screw-on strain relief at the rear. I didn't see a lot of different between the thin and wide ends of the strain relief with my calipers but it is always a bit awkward to measure flexible things so this was more of a curiosity than anything else as the manual said it could be trimmed shorter if it was too tight, but I found it ideal for my double shielded LSZH cat 8. Easy to terminate, easy to fit, well manufactured. Saves quite a bit of time.

I like the concept of fittings without tools, but these were bought as standby item and not used. It is unlikely they will be used in the foreseeable future so I can make no assessment of integrity or ease of fit. They look the part, were delivered quickly and well packaged - this what the 4 rating is for. They are expensive, but you expect to pay more for multi-component tool-less fittings.

Muy facil de instalar. Recomendable mirar el esquema incluido en las fotos del producto por si acaso no sabes los colores de los cables y el montaje, porque no trae instrucciones. Funciona de lujo. Hay que apretar bien para asegurarse y luego con la rosca queda bien sujeto todo. Muy contento con la compra

Habe die Stecker bei der neuen Hausverkabelung mit CAT8 Verlegekabel genutzt. Das war das erste Mal, dass ich feldkonfektionierbare Stecker verwendet habe, aber mit der Anleitung hat das bei 8 Steckern auf Anhieb ohne einen Fehlversuch wirklich leicht geklappt. Absolut zufrieden. Nur der Preis schmerzt etwas.

Die Produktverpackung besteht aus einem Kunststoffbeutel mit Druckverschluss, jeder Stecker befindet sich nochmal separat in einer Tüte, so sollte alles sicher verstaut sein.

Der Stecker sieht sehr robust aus, das Gehäuse ist aus Metall und die Einlage mit den Pins aus Kunststoff.
Auch wenn es nur einen RJ45 Stecker hat, eignet er sich für Cat.8 Kabel bis zu 40 Gbit/s und 2000MHz.

Der Anschluss ist auch ganz leicht auszuführen, dazu muss man das Kabel ca. 30mm abisolieren, aber Achtung bitte nicht die Schirmung wie im Video oder den Bilder komplett abschneiden, man öffnet sie dreht sie am besten zur einer Ader zusammen und wickelt sie ganz vorne an der Ummantelung und ein bisschen um die einzelnen Adern herum, sodass die Schirmung noch an das Metallgehäuse kommt, damit es auch abgeschirmt ist.
Den blauen Schraubanschluss und die silberne Hülse richtigrum über das Kabel schieben, die Adern nach T568A oder T568B anschließen, in Deutschland wird oft B verwendet, man sollte aber vorher einmal besser nachschauen, was man schon in seinem Heimnetzwerk verwendet hat. Die überstehenden Adern mit einem Seitenschneider bündig mit dem Plastikstück abschneiden und dann in das Gehäuse pressen, wenn man zu wenig kraft hat, kann man auch zur Hilfe eine Kombizange nehmen. Silberne Hülse dranschieben, Deckel schließen und die Kappe andrehen.

Der Preis von ca. 32€ ist für das 4er Set nicht gerade günstig, das macht pro Stecker ca. 8€. Die Stecker sind leider meistens so teuer wegen der Cat.8 Unterstützung. Das muss hat jeder für sich selbst entscheiden, ich bin damit absolut zufrieden.
