For the most part they work as expected. I had some cable that was given to me along with the purchase of some speakers. They looked to have a much higher quality banana plug. I did some A/B testing as well as took some measurements in rew. There is a noticeable and measureable difference in the highs, specifically the higher quality banana plug was allowing the speaker to have more output in the highs. It also sounded smoother but clearer too.

This product is well made and is easy to use. You have to add a bit of pressure to push out the clip and screw the wire to it, but once I figured that out, by pushing to end of the clip out of the housing, they were great. I always connected my speakers by threading the speaker wire into the connector and screwing it down. This was often difficult and I never got a great feeling that they connections were secure. I bought a new receiver and learned that these could be used when I saw the "customers also purchased" link. These clips are great. I was able to connect the clips to the speaker wires and secure them to the back of my new receiver. I am no longer concerned aboutbthe connections becoming loose or any crackling due to poor connections.

These are my first experience with Banana plugs and man I wish I had made this upgrade sooner. These feel very sturdy with the double screw system. I'm confident the wires won't be sliding out. It takes some time but in the end not too bad. Took me about 20 mins to do 12 wires. After the first few, it all went very smoothly. If I had to improve on these, it would be great if the cover screwed on and maybe clicked to ensure it's all the way in. But this is in no way a deal breaker and should not affect performance as the cover is basically only there for gripping and identifying the wire. All things considered, I highly recommend these.

Quick and painless to get put together. Only caution I have is that they are a little stiff trying to insert into my receiver’s speaker output.

These plugs are replacing bare wire on an amp. By using these plugs I avoid potential shortage problems. Easy to assemble by unscrewing the silver barrel and then placing wire in the plug barrel. Two screws assure contact and tightness of wire. Screw the outer barrel back to the plug and that's it. Red normally is for red or positive wire and black is for black or negative wire. They work well and are reasonably priced.

These are so much better than the economy banana plugs I was using before. I got these mainly because I was a few units short of my needs, but also because in my new home, with a built-in set of theater speakers, my old plugs were very loose in the wall plug panel, but I hadn't had enough experience with banana plugs to know if this was normal or not. I chose this set because the plug appeared to be significantly fatter than the ones I had... of boy, was that true! Almost too snug. The only reason I give them a 4-star "very good" instead of a 5-star is because they were so tight that I almost felt like I was going to break the patch panel cover trying to get these in! But, thankfully, they didn't break anything and are now much more secure than I had before. These are also very easy to install. I like double-screw design that holds your speaker wire in two places, and the plug shroud appears very professional. I like them enough that I'm going to order some more so I can replace all of my original plugs with these, just surprised by how much effort they take to insert. [UPDATE: After buying my second pack of these, I've decided to upgrade my rating to the full 5-stars. These are great plugs, but yes, they are stiff, so insert with a little extra care.]

If you don't already have one, be sure to get a small flathead screwdriver. You will need one to open and tighten the space in which the wires are fed. I wasn't expecting this, but fortunately, I had such a screwdriver. The two screws are a little challenging to work with because they are very small, but once you have the wire inserted and the screws tightened, the wire is very secure, and the plugs work great. I bought another set after trying this one.

At first I thought these were too big for my banana jacks, but then realized you just need to push them hard to get them to go in. That's a good thing because then there is no worry of a loose connection. Plus it's a great design with the dual set screws to clamp down on the wire. See video.

Looks and feels like quality product. Using these to reconnect to my TV surround speakers. Haven’t actually connected all together yet, waiting for new amplifier/ receiver. But connecting these to your wires is a breeze. Fast shipping, happy buyer.

These are very nice quality banana plugs that accept and hold 12 AWG wire with no problems and the dual set screws clamp said wire with an absolute death grip to ensure worry-free connectivity. These fit very, very snugly to the point that a bit of force is required on the initial plug in, but the "leaves" become springier after a few cycles of plugging and unplugging and are easier to insert. There are some that claim the best connection is bare wire, but bare wire is a hassle (especially when wiring the back of a 9 channel receiver), looks like crap, and they always managed to work themselves loose on my speakers no matter how tightly I screwed the binding posts down, with my best guess being that the constant vibrations were the cause. The construction is solid, the connection is solid, and value is solid. Just buy them.

I easily connected them to the end of my speaker wire, which is 16 gauge. It's very secure, with two screws that hold the wire in place. I highly recommend them..

Item as described. Fits my 12 gauge speaker wire. I like that it has two set screws that clamp the wire securely . Also the the barrel of the plug goes on after the wire is attached so there no chance forgetting to slip the barral over the cable first. The banana plug fits tightly into banana socket. Users need to be aware that the barrel will be live since it is metal. Standard pomona plug spacing means the + and - barrels will be quite close together and the users must take take that in moving speakers and amplifier around to avoid shorting the connectors. Maybe slipping a piece of shrink tubing over one or both plugs would be advisable. That would be my only complaint. A plastic barrel would have avoided this issue. Shorting out a power amp could be disastrous! But still the quality of the product is overall very good.

Two screws are worth the extra money. The two screw systems hold the speaker cable much better. Tip: the screw needs to be loosened more than you think to get 12 or 14 gauge speaker cable inserted. Loosen the screws almost to the pint where they fall out, but not all the way. If/when the screws fall, they are hard to find - so it helps to work at a table and put a towel or large piece of paper down. One more thing, the sheath slides, AFTER the cable has been inserted. This is helpful, and a good design. I would buy again. Good value. Good Quality
