I really like the way these wall plates cleaned up the back of the TV area. No more cables hanging down and winding along the floor. Easy to install.
We hid our TV cables in the drywall from behind the TV down next to the outlet and these work great and look good.
If you opt to go for just the the wall plates, make sure you measure the clearance in the middle of the bracket that you buy.
The center of the wall plate that holds the bristles protrudes in back, and will not fit all brackets. Thats why it's easier just to buy this combo pack!
Good way to organize the exit of speaker wire from the walls. Use this to connect wires directly to a receiver rather than terminating the wires inside the wall on a wall plate and using another set of cables from the wall plate to connect to your A/V receiver. This leaves the look neat and clean.
I had ordered this product primarily for the faceplate. When installing, I used a Carlon low-voltage old work bracket that I had on hand, thinking that it was better because it was a name brand and available at your local home improvement store. After installing though, I found that the bracket was having a hard time with the 9 Ethernet cables and 1 RG-6 passing through it. It was twisting, with the unsecured corners flexing forward from the wall. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the "securing wings" on the Carlon bracket differed from those on the VCELINK bracket. If you look at the VCELINK bracket, you'll see that the wings secure in the middle of the bracket, top and bottom, whereas the Carlon are on opposite corners. That slight difference in design kept the VCELINK bracket and faceplate completely tight and flush with the drywall, even with the heavy load, where the Carlon bracket could not. You can see the finished product in the photo. The Carlon would not have been as tight, all around the faceplate. What a nice surprise!
I got a new television and want to baby-proof it so it won't fall over on the grandchild.... I was able to install the mount and hide the cables using this product. Total install time was only about 1 hour. I recommend this for and easy and quick install!
