Makes connecting my speaker wire much easier than the spin, feed through, then smash down meathod. After they are put on, then they just push in. Rubbery outer shell protects from voltage arc.

I mainly bought these to make ground wire connections for my turntable ground posts and phono preamps. They work great! I was getting tired of using the fork connectors and these work much better! But, it'll only work if you have the correct posts on your turntable and phono preamp.

I didn’t realize that the outside of these jacks were a soft flexible plasic when I requested them. I don’t see that as a problem, but I have never had soft banana jacks before. Since these were described as speaker jacks, I decided to use them for just that. The pictures show the back of a digital power ampifier that I had connected to speakers by directly by feeding the wires into the holes under banana jack terminals and tightening them down. While that worked, it didn’t work well, so installing these banana jack terminals on the ends of the wires and actually plugging them into the banana jacks on the amplifier was a great improvement. The plugs tightened firmly on the wires and with minor effort, the soft sleeves covered the metal. Plugging them into the amplifier was easy and felt like they made a good connection. They weren’t lose at all. So I thought these are good parts for this application.

I was upgrading my AV system and wanted to add banana plugs. These are the easiest-to-use that I have seen - a single set screw, and will fit 12 gauge wire. Good value for the price.
